Thanksgiving
Today is Thanksgiving, and we had the chance to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal with our friends at the Hackerman-Patz House. We enjoyed conversation and laughs and shared all of the things that make us thankful on this day. So many generous donors contributed to make this day special by providing nonperishable foods to stock the kitchen for patients and families. As winter approaches and the air gets cooler, let’s come together to collect new warm clothing items for patients at the Hackerman-Patz House. Your donation of new coats, sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves can be so helpful to patients who stay at Hackerman-Patz, many of whom come for long periods of time and stay throughout winter. All items can be dropped off at 8205 Pumpkin Hill Court, Pikesville, Maryland 21208 in the blue bin. Any and all donations are appreciated.

Thanksgiving is approaching, and many of us have much for which to be thankful. Please support the Hackerman-Patz House by donating non-perishable food items for patients and families to use during their stays. There will be a blue bin at 8205 Pumpkin Hill Court, Pikesville, Maryland 21208 for collections until November 20, 2016. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Today we had a special chance to spend time with patients and friends at the Hackerman-Patz House. Thank you to all of the community members who donated stuffed animals to give to patients before and after surgeries and procedures. They definitely put smiles on people’s faces. We also are grateful for all of the donations we collected. We presented a generous check to the Hackerman-Patz House today that will help with so many programs, necessities and amenities for patients and their friends and family members.

To date, Birdland Cards is proud to have provided scholarships to five elementary age students to participate in recreation league football through the Greater Pikesville Recreation Council. Today is a reminder of how grateful we should be for a community that is willing to give back to others. Today members of Birdland Cards served meals at a Thanksgiving dinner at the Hackerman-Patz House and had the opportunity to sit down with families from all over the world. It is rewarding to take time collectively out of our busy schedules to create friendships, share smiles, and tell stories about good times and healing.
